Studio 18 Gallery was established at 18 Warren Street in Tribeca, New York City in 2001 and existed there until 2006. It exhibited a wide spectrum of artists working in a variety of media, both older established artists as well as younger less well known ones.
This website is a “virtual” continuation of Studio 18 Gallery. Initially we are presenting 8 of the Studio 18 artists, representing a small but significant spectrum of our earlier group of artists.
With the globalization of contemporary cultural perspectives, no single artist or group of artists can presume to represent “modern” or “post-modern” art. The artists represented here are a small but nonetheless important fraction of that larger globalized world culture.
